Hi AP, I've been contributing less and lurking a lot more than I would have liked this last while but hopefully that will change over the next few weeks.

I'm relocating to the US for 9 months and will be based on Long Island and would love to connect with anyone in the area wwho needs a 2nd seat in a kayak, or an anchor for belaying, or company on treks or MTB.

I don't know how much free time I'll have just yet, though I expect decent biking will be more upstate.

Would love thoughts, comments, guidance and even suggestions of outdoor stores (or adult fun parks as I call them) to watch out for.

Cheers!

Absolutely, will do!!

No idea yet with regards free time or otherwise so will update in due course. Been checking out the area and seems like there is plenty of trails for hiking / running in Long Island so that's a good start :)

WCOC is across the narrow waters of Long Island Sound. we have a bike/foot event on March 12th. plenty of trails along either side of the Hudson river.
for climbing, head to the Gunks!
let us know when you have settled in and have some free time.
