Sleepmonsters reported it on Facebook:
We had an email here at SleepMonsters central about the X-Trail race in China this morning saying the following;
..' we are ready to welcome more of you; and 2019 ARWC is planned in KANAS, so take the 2018 chance to discover this area a little bit! ...
There is no official announcement to back this up, but it sounds like the world champs next year is in CHINA ...
So, AP world, how credible is this?
Curious about whether that would mean another summer ARWC. Hard to imagine taking people to northern China in November.
From Nathan Fa'avae's Godzone race report:
Avaya have come on board taking over the sponsorship of Seagate. Team Avaya, for international races will be the traditional core team, Chris Forne, Stu Lynch, Jo Williams and Sophie Hart (& me). The team will be racing in China in June, and the World Champs in Reunion Island in November.
Would be interesting to see Jo and Sophie race on this team together - hope that happens for China or ARWC!
As a follow-up, LegendaryRandy interviewed Stu Lynch on TA1 and they talked a bit about the future of the team. Stu said Nathan was interested in racing ARWC...
