This is AR-adjacent since to my knowledge it was "simply" swimming and running.
1st - Team 4 (Adriel Young, Daniel Hansson, Johan Hasselmark, Kristin Larsson)
2nd - Team 8 (Rob Preston, Elizabeth Dornom, Julian Dent, Glenn Wilkinson)
3rd - Team 2 (Johanna Edman, Martin Flinta, Rickard Norlin)
Team 1 (aka Good 'Nuff) and Team 3 (aka Bend Racing) both DNF'd in the 2nd half of the race.
Overall I thought it was odd that the organizers called everyone by team number and not a name (not even their country/continent name!). But some serious AR chops on the podium showed the grueling nature of the event. Swimming/navigating at night also seemed really challenging. Anyone have other race intel/thoughts?
I loved following the race! The trackers were unfortunately terrible, but the media coverage was superb! I was really surprised with how unsuccessful some teams were - it seemed like the perfect race for Good Nuff. The cold must have been much more impactful and uncomfortable than expected.
I was following the stories and it seemed very cool and incredibly challenging.
