And you rode your bike on the freeway? Wow...sounds like quite a race. Great job!
This race was crazyyyyyy. We had semi's buzzing us while riding during high traffic times since we were hours after Hilary on the highway. She was paddeling in the soup while we were getting buzzed by semi trucks. Just a nut of a race to say the least.
.....and Hills and Brenda ROCKED it. So happy for those two. And....such a FUN roadtrip to and from. Look forward to another in the future.
Thanks ladies! We are happy with the hard work we put in to it! It was indeed a very unusual race. So glad we got to do a ladies road trip! Fun times and no guys to yell at us for having to stop and pee every hour.
I should have offered to drive you guys!!! What I would have done to hear the stories on the way back!
How did you decide who got to do the shooting? ;) It sounded like an enduro mountain bike race with a hellish bit of paddling navigation thrown in the middle. You gals did amazing!
Both could do the shooting if you want, but Brenda wanted to do it more than I did (and I needed a bathroom trip) so I just told her to go ahead.
Barbara, you will hear all kinds of stories at Michelle's! I'm sure they would have loved to have you as a volunteer too, though it may have been a bit tight in the car with 4 people!
No guys in the car??? How much fun could that be? It was probably super quiet with only mood music playing...
Yes, mostly the passengers just sat quietly and knitted. Every once in a while we would giggle and talk about shoes.
Also, no kidding... it did not stink in the car on the way home. It was amazing.
It doesn't stink in the car when the guys are there... well, maybe a little. How did the bike trays work? Any problems getting the bikes on the roof?
Bike trays worked well. It was a bit harder loading after the race but we managed.
