Wow, they look warm... and $325!!! My carbon ski boots were less than that!
I have a pair of Lake winter shoes (
http://gearjunkie.com/lake-cycling-winter-biking-b...) that I bought back when Lake first started making them. I love them. Probably not as warm as the 45nrth ones but they definitely keep my feet warmer than summer shoes with booties on.
My lord those are expensive.
Flat pedals and $30 pack boots will get you down many a wintry dirt road if you are cheap sob such as me. As for singletrack, I am blessed to not be able to go fast enough to get cold!
I finally saw the Wolvhammer in a store, and they look sweeeeet.
I'm pretty much in full-trainer-mode now. Ha! They do still look nice, but I have other temperature-regulation difficulty on the bike this time of year. Never an issue xc skiing, though!
