few more days left for the early bird fee, for the 2014 Stars W*A*R ( winter adventure race ). with this year new format (see details here) http://stars.whyjustrun.ca/events/view/1239 - there is something for everyone loving winter navigation ( snowshoe-ing and/or x-country skiing)

Many kids talking about the Stars W*A*R this evening at Adventure Running X. I expect about 4 or 5 junior teams. Love the new format! In fact that is what excited the kids.

Nick - I know we discussed this previously but I can't recall, are racers allowed to wear their snowshoes/XC Skis in all parts of the course. IE If I don't want to ski, can I use my snowshoes and access all CPS?

"There will be plenty of race strategy choices because racers will have a 3hour time limit - with the option to use skis, snowshoes, or a combination of both to find as many checkpoints as possible. This format will make for an exciting and inclusive event - with everyone racing, and finishing, together whether you are on snowshoes, skis, or mixing it up."
