This post is primarily relevant to the southern Ontario adventure community.

If you use Albion Hills Conservation Area, make sure your voice is heard as they prepare their new Master Plan. The preliminary draft plan prohibits off-trail travel throughout much of the park so if you enjoy orienteering, adventure running and snowshoe exploration in the park, please participate.

Note that mountain bikers are well represented, and there is no risk to biking in the park. If anything, there is a push for more trails and more technical trails. Chico Racing sits on the public advisory committee, and there are a couple of other cycling representatives. I am also on the advisory committee as a local resident.

Public Information Session #1 will be held tomorrow evening in Caledon East. Even if you can't make it, you can fill out the User Survey linked below (takes 5 minutes) and ask to stay informed. Be sure to add "Orienteering" and "Adventure Running" under "Other Activities" if you have done these things in Albion Hills.
