No. I'm not interested and anyway that's not the point. I have had several "tips" on single men around here and where they work. Who would actually go seek out a stranger just because a mutual acquaintance suggests it? Nobody. It's odd to me that people think this is helpful. People around here get really worried when you're 33 and single and assume that you need some help. That's Midland for you.
I never let the point stop me from commenting!
You also could have said something like "That's weird. Maybe people should just let you be single and not worry about it."
I had spent a lot of time in rural Michigan. I was beginning to wonder why I hadn't had three kids by 26. Not that I blame 'em, no cable, whatcha gonna do.
j/k I long ago learned not to suggest people for people.
True story. Radio this morning:
DJ: What makes Midland great?
Midland resident: It's a family town.
Ha! That is EXACTLY Midland. People come here to get married and have babies and eat at chain restaurants. I run away most weekends.
Hil, you only need to be 2 things, what and who you want to be!
Yes, thanks. Maybe I should have you come and talk to the Midlandites.
You can talk to them. "Well I'm bummed I haven't been able to paddle my new boat or ride my nice road bike because of all of these trips I've been going on."
