Never a dull moment! I love the part where you are trying to tell drivers that you are not an irresponsible dog owner.....
Yeah, that's my favorite part! I am also wondering about races in other states. Are there typically amazing race obstacles and things like that? Like, finding CPs and no map? LOL...you guys did great.
:) Thanks! I am not sure the drivers quite got what I was going for, but I did my best. I was thinking today that we should have pulled out a daisy chain and tied it around her neck as a leash until we got to the ropes.
I would not say that it is typical, but more common than in MI. In one race, we had to do a puzzle and then inflate a bike tube until it popped. Another, in order to get a point, you had to take 19 noodles and some rope and go to the other side of the water. You should be able to tell by reading race reports what the RD's style is. I heard that in previous Mission races, they had to disassemble bikes and put them through a hole, do scootering, and other "prologue" activities to spread teams out. This is the same RD who did last year's USARA Nationals, though, which was a good, pure AR. Well, his only 2nd strike was two hike a boat races out of two that I've done. I'm hoping for no questionable "paddle legs" at Nationals this year...
