Race headquarters is located at Seven Oaks Recreation, Boone, Iowa.


Events begin on Friday night with check-in and packet pick-up. Check-in starts at 5 p.m. A mandatory pre-race briefing takes place at 7 p.m. The start time and location will be announced on Friday night at the pre-race briefing.

WHAT IS THE BOONCRUSHER ADVENTURE RACE?

This race will be a challenging Iowa adventure race course in the Des Moines River Valley that will consist of orienteering, mountain biking, trekking and paddling. Two-person and four-person teams will choose from either the 8-hour or 12-hour challenge. Teams will navigate using a map and compass to Checkpoints (CPs) along the entire course. The Checkpoints will be given in the form of UTM’s.

WHAT IS THE COURSE LIKE?

The 12-hour course travels approximately 60 miles. The 8-hour course covers roughly 40 miles. Competitors should be prepared for single-track mountain biking trails, roads, flowing water, possible portage, hilly terrain, steep climbs, and one the most fun and challenging courses in the mid-west. The course will cover the wooded and rugged terrain of the Des Moines River valley.

The 12-hour course is a USARA National Qualifier Adventure Race. The top 4 "Boonecrusher" Coed teams will qualify for the 2011 USARA Adventure Race National Championships. The winning "Coed Boonecrusher" team will receive $400.00 towards their team’s entry fee into the 2012 USARA Adventure Race National Championships

* All certificates for discounted entry are for each individual racer and not the entire team.
* Prizes will be awarded to the winning team in every division

Awards Ceremony: There will be an awards ceremony for both the 8-Hour and 12-Hour courses. Award ceremony times will be announced at the pre-race meeting on Friday. All teams that are eligible for prizes must be present at the awards ceremony in order to receive them. Food and refreshments will be available at the awards ceremony as well.

Cancellation:

NO REFUNDS. You may be able to transfer your entry fee to the next years race please contact the race director.
