That's one of many similar comments we received. The Breakdown was a great success and the race will indeed return in 2014. Expect even more spectacular mountain scenery and rugged terrain. We'll leave the 2013 information posted below while we plan for next year

This adrenaline-charged race is set in an area imposingly dubbed, “The Grand Canyon of the South”. Starting in the immense and spectacular gorge area of Breaks Interstate Park, we’re thrilled to bring you an adventure with miles of mountain-high single-track, scenic backcountry, and clear, gorgeous waters.

Surrounded by the Jefferson National Forest along the Kentucky and Virginia border, this quietly beautiful area has limitless opportunities for some great adventure. Additionally, as an early USARA qualifying race, teams looking to nab a spot for Nationals, will have an excellent opportunity!
