It was a beautiful fall day, but with just few days after hard rain, the footing was sloppy. The courses were by Mike Minium, and went all over the park because the map is small. The ungroomed trails, deadfall, and honeysuckle made it seem much bigger. About 111 starts, primarily from JrROTC turnout---Lots of individuals and groups ran second and third courses. I don't have names for all the cadets who helped, but a big thanks to Chief Moyer for getting us the greenhouse event center (and having a concession stand)---the shelter will be nice when we're back to this map in a little over a year---we want to try it out December through February next TROL season, when we really need the shelter. Thanks for help pulling controls from Brennan Hertel, Alex Yancey, Steve, Heidi, Morgan, and Jameson Vaughan, Pat Donnelly, Roger Behymer (two apparent first-time orienteers!), Matthew Robbins, Mike Minum, and anyone else who I have failed to mention.
