Intramural scrimmage day, but since I'm in a caloric deficit right now (and I haven't paddled as much as many of my teammates over the summer) I signed up to be a human buoy. I just paddled out 2.5 miles to the first turn location, waited for everyone to go around me, and then paddled back. I wanted a couple more miles so I talked a few others into taking a lap around the harbor with me. Plus, the canoe cleaning area was going to be busy, so might as well paddle a bit more. Pretty easy day, but super nice to be out on the water.

Woo Hoo!! Longest run since my hip injury/plantar fasciitis from earlier this year. I was only planning 3-4, but then at mile 4, I talked myself into 4.5 and then at 4.45, I thought, oh what the hell... might as well make it 5. So I did! Listening to Can't Hurt Me and the Goggins story of his San Diego one day must have inspired me to go a mile longer than my most recent longest run. Ha! back to Fat Loss phase tomorrow, so today was the day to push the distance.
