Mountain Biking (Stars orienteering race) 1:20:00 [2]
Did Stars bike orienteering race with Emma so much fun well organized and great to get out with my daughter (not sure on time)
First three checkpoints went well and we were feeling pretty proud and excited then I turned right too early on trail instead of going a few 100 metres more to take correct right ended up back at start with Barb being cheerful saying hello but probably chuckling inside ......found 4 then had no problems finding 5 then 6 at the bridge thank goodness! Checkpoints on road were fun then going back in to trail I lost one of the two fobs I decided I must carry in case Emma would drop hers ):
Emma thought this was funny but was impatient as we looked for it (like mother like daughter) finally found it thank goodness it was green in the yellow leaves. We caught up with Tom Kostners family and I guess we both made same mistake as we ended up taking fairly long technical descent down to find 10 which I was fairly certain we were not supposed to take
Tom and I pulled out my compass and headed south to get out and thank goodness found it!
Race to finish against my Emma and Toms family was quite funny racers in the making!
Now I truly know my daughter is hooked "cmon mom hurry!" I did have more respect for what I have put Mr Gally through over the years(:
