Stars O-cup Puslinch.
Complex formula with 2 star-shaped boxes, but it worked well.
I had to work hard not to play "Follow the Eugenius" as we kept leapfrogging even with my intentionally taking different routes. He lost me when I got a bit disoriented with the map change. Nice day out, and the Stars put in a lot of work.
Nice run with Bash and BZDog. We met the guy with 3 dogs but this time he was on his ATV with a chainsaw cleaning all the deadfall! Nice guy.
Extra loop to saw one last tree I missed.
Oh cr@p, Caron wore her dreaded orange at yoga today. That always indicates misery to come.
Luckily this time it was merely tabata, not some horrific groin-splitting core exercise.
Note- I just heard of one of the big Batteryspace packs catching fire during charging. These are Li-Po packs, similar to what Ay-up uses.
Li-ions are less likely to have this problem, but...
Crazy first clinic day in Belize.
I was a jack of all trades today, called here and there constantly when an air connection exploded or a waterline wasn't working. We have a total of 3 electrical outlets for the whole clinic- Each station needs at least 6 plugs...
We've been splicing air lines into one compressor over lunch while the clinic is shut down, hooking up vacuum lines to run off a single shopvac, etc. while trying to teach Minimally Invasive Dentistry to newbies. Temps hot and humid but not too bad walking around, but crawling under the tables I am pouring sweat into my eyes etc
Nice run in Palgrave with BZ dog on a cool day.
Also a fair bit of lumberjack work.
Spent a while packing for next week's dental mission to Belize.
The less personal stuff I bring, the more dental supplies and headlamp batteries I can carry. Good chance to leave some shoes there too.

RTH with the Gallys as Storm Beowulf.
Interesting format with some tough CPs right off the bat. We then had a relay, with Gally going to the trickier nav cp and MsGally and I taking turns up the mud road and back. We were able to do some towing on the next road section and dropped teams we had been leapfrogging. Gally was really on the nav well in the Game of Thorns, and we caught and kept leapfrogging BendMMonster and Ang-XC. Next was some urban O, and we hooked up and hammered it to the Domestique coffee aid station, figuring we'd recover during the mandatory 15 min stop. We managed to drop the other strong co-eds by just a bit.
Coming out of there it was more like we seized up than rested, and the 3 co-ed teams were neck and neck. We lost Ang-XC around K2, but were with BendMMonster on and off. I was completely towed out but the Gallys were running strong. Coming in to the matrix I headed in a bit of the way to guide MsGally to A, then back to B while Gally got C. I found it ok but had no gas in the tank, and made it to the rendezvous after BMN had left. In hindsight, Gally should have gone to drop off Cath while I went for B- he was back well before me.
We ended up 3rd co-ed & 6th overall, 1min behind BMM, which is fine for such a strong field and tough RTH.
The Gallys were great teammates, and strong despite "not in running shape". Mr G was great on the nav, and MsG and I work very well together.
Bash got me some new mud tires from the Salomon store! Ran to work with the Fellcross to test them out for RTH. I'll try the Sense Ultra SG for the way home. Each one has more tread than any other shoe I have.

Dark run home. Sense ultra SG feel like slippers with massive tread- pretty minimalist.
I had some original red/white Sense, the Killian version, but these are better for me. They seem a touch wider.
Anybody out there wear a Salomon 10 and want some very fast shoes?
Joined the BFFF gang for a treasure hunt in Palgrave. Good to get out.
Bazingadog was a handful in a running group "must be first" but he's been pretty stressed.
