Time approx- Garmin shut off.
Dances with Dirt Relay on with Tarno Almageddon, Ed and Gus.
Leg 2. I was able to pass a lot of runner traffic in bushwhack and foot-sucking swamp sections, and felt good.

Leg 9, the dreaded river section. Lots of knee-deep crossings and some muddy swamp bits, and 700m of river-running, trying to avoid the deep holes and strong current. More decent running on this leg than I expected, and felt good even in the pouring rain at the start and steaming heat at the end.

Leg 14. F’d this one up by carefully following the pink markers as I had all day, until I thought the running was far too easy for a supposed nasty leg, dug out my phone and checked the descriptions, said a bad word or two and ran back to the correct white marked loop, which was almost all off-trail, bushwhack and bullrush swamp. Cost the team 14 minutes. Sigh- I’d been running well too.
Despite the damper on my last leg, it was a lot of fun with a good team. Everyone ran well. Other teams had wacky themed costumes and team totems.
Great to get out there and push the climbs, and let it go on the technical downhills, as compared to always trying to preserve my stomach on Ultras.
Workout 2 and hauled split and stacked another big load of logs. Almost filled our dry log storage for 2021's wood. I'll need to split the rest and season it in the forest for 2022+.

Ride in with the big boy, and nice night ride home.
Commute with the big boy. Excitement when a flock of suicidal turkeys took off down the trail ahead of us. Who knew they could run 29kph? Who knew Bazingadog can go faster than that even when harnessed to me? Luckily the foolish fowl eventually turned off the trail, and BZdog kept to business.
