Managed to sqeeze in a small core workout and short run with Bash and the Beasts.

Workout # 1. Somewhat lethargic, as I seem to be dealing with some sort of chest bug. I wonder if I didn't get over the one 3 weeks ago fully?

XC Skiing (Commute) 32:00 [2]

An easier ski today with T-dog. I had too cold a wax, so no grip.
Time to start the X-mas taper and lard loading.

Note

Howling winds, drizzle, logging activities and lack of klister led to my begging a lift home from one of my sympathetic staff.

Workout #3- I seemed to be close to my highest-ever on a few exercises, even though I think I may be getting another cold.
I skipped intervals just in case.

Snowshoeing 1:45:00 [3]
rhr:65 slept:5.0 shoes: Montrail Susitna

A really nice session with The Gazelle, P&L and Bash through Kortright after work.
Less climbing this time but more running on trails. Amazing how much brighter it is near the city!
We had a sauna afterwards too. Nice. Made for a short night though.
Im looking forward to some days off near X-mas, (resting HR higher today) but my van's still in the shop so I'll need to keep ski-commuting.

Ugh, this morning felt like waking up at 4AM for the second day of the Canadian Ski Marathon. Once I got going it was nice, skiing along with the dogs. A lot of wind crust out there today.

Perfect vanilla sky this AM at sunrise.

I scurried home as we have P&L coming over for snowshoeing after work. Conditions still really good.

Snowshoeing hills 1:20:00 [2]

Good solid hike, bushwhacking up every hill we could find with P & L from Canadian Hardcorps. We also explored brand new singletrack right behind our backyard. Can't wait to try it out on a bike.

Some hard stomps up the hills but I'll give it a 2 overall.

P&L are moving to Bolton, and L will be working with Thumbs-of-Death, treating sports injuries.

I thought I'd see if I remember what cycling feels like.
Oh yeah, I remember, it's really a suffer-fest to get your HR up on the trainer. So easy out on the trails!

Another nice loop with Bash and the beasts.
The conditions are a little quicker today.
