Eliminator Rounds 1 and 2. I think these favoured us old guys with handicaps, as I made the first round, then the second (just). GM was runing with the Moldovan boys and me on lap 2, but took a wrong turn and disappeared. Surprisingly, I figured out where to go. I love this part of the Bruce, with the great lookouts.

Round 3. This time I was determined to do my own thing 100%, so I ran alone the long way to 1 via the Bruce Trail.
Scenic, easier nav and nice views to boot. I actually arrived at 1at the same time as most of the pack but went to the rest by myself carefully and hit them all well enough. I think I was 7th or 8th, but had a lot more fun this leg.

Bash won the first 2 rounds today, was 3rd overall for the series and 1st female!

I want to ride my bicycle, I want to ride my bike...
But it's way too soggy out here in the country, so I rode the trainer for the final TT and finish of TDF 05.

Had a nice hike with the dogs, but didn't log it.

Really blasted the hills (trying to keep up with Hans the Tri world medalist, but not a chance to catch the skinny high school kid) to make up for slacking yesterday. Also some laps with Fartlek training.

Caron had us working on obliques. Didn't suffer too much today.

Yoga (C3 training night) 55:00 [1]

Yin-Yang this time. One set slow, then a quicker version. Lots of balancing in Eagle pose, which is tricky after a hard run.

I didn't get in my hill intervals, but T-dog was moving well enough that we got to do an extra loop on the way to work.

Took advantage of the below-zero conditions to ride the long Palgrave loop home with Bulletdog. Riding was mostly on hard crusty snow, with some much trickier softer deep stuff and a few icy uphills which were hike-a-bike. Great ride before trail-damage season keeps me off my 'bent.

Thomass Hilton Falls.
Interesting start with a butterfly box, which went well for me.
Then a run to control 2, where I set out by myself by choice- no tracks or others to follow. Sadly I made a very daft parallel error and ended up wasting over 20 minutes here along with GM.
Rest of it went fast. GM's faster than me on trail, i'm a little quicker off trail and we ended up pushing each other -zone 5. The legs felt good, but the brain... Oh well.
