Nice day trip around Louisa Lake with Bash and the hounds, with an intermittent storm. Humungous Bull Moose sighting.
More lounging around our perfect campsite with a great sitting rock and views in all directions, and our sheltered area for hiding out storms. The dogs think this is the life.
It was only briefly warm enough to swim- for humans.
Paddle from Rock Lake into Louisa Lake with Bash and the dogs. We took the lighter cedarstrip boat, even though it's a bit low in the water with 4 of us and gear.

Portage from Rock Lake to Louisa Lake.
25kg boat +25kg pack + lifejackets and paddles stuffed in the boat =1 tough trip.
Horrible, until I got the lifeys and paddles balanced right. Bash had a big load too as she'd packed us some nice food and even wine! We have to get the dogs carrying their own dog food! The dogs were miserable as the deer flies were intense. Still, this is what keeps the crowds away from a fantastic lake like Louisa.
I rode the new route to work with the Bulletdog. On the way back BD rolled in something hideous, so we did an extra loop over the hill to the pond to try and swim some of it off.
Out for a nice ride in Palgrave with Bash. I took a bit of a wipeout when I hit a log-end hidden in the thick greenery and whacked my left arm pretty well but it seems OK.
