Running 2:00:00 [2]
shoes: Brooks CP Green 2

Mizzy Lake Trail with Bash.
Great colours, wonderful run until Bash re-sprained her ankle near the far South parking lot. I suggested we hobble her back to there and I go for the car, but no tiara (or tensor) for Bash- some drugs and we jogged back.

Paddlng 3:00:00 [2]

Off hunting the elusive Goose, Gosling and friends on Burnt Island lake.

The light canoes were taken by a group of newbies who paddled them 1km up a creek and left them at the portage, (One of them treating them so badly it made us cringe) so we clunked along in a grumman. Just a delight to portage with no yoke and a recovering neck injury.
Still, great paddle, excellent colours, but no Geese.

Note

After 22 days, I think I'll take off the Injured flag. My neck's still not 100%, but it's definitely better.

Cycling 2:00:00 [3]

Our annual trip to Arowhon in Algonquin Park- See Bash's log for photos and more details.

We rode the Minnising trail, which we did on our wedding day and almost every year after. It's more eroded, with fields of pumpkin-sized rocks in the washouts, and some deep ruts. If ever there's a 'bent testing trail... but the bike was probably better than Bash's MTB on the big hits.

Still perfect conditions, clear sky, no wind and the colours are close to peak.

Cycling (Commute +) 45:00 [3]

Cycling to work and then down to Albion for MTBO after

Orienteering (MTBO) 1:11:00 [3]

CN Bike-O practice.
Fun course- I set out to do things backwards from the usual direction, and some of the CPs seemed unfamiliar, so I really was navigating. Took my time and spiked everything but CP2, where Bash went by me.
I cleaned the course with 9 minutes to spare. Bash finished *just* behind me, but she'd started a couple of minutes later. ScoobyJr cleaned the course in an hour!
Good course put on by our fearless leader Rocky, and a bonfire afterwards too!

Strength (Link) 1:00:00 [3]

Solid link workout. I had to skip a couple of things for my neck, but threw in more push-ups on the balance board.

Huuuuuuumid day- I was drenched.

Misc (Lumberjack) 35:00 [2]

Loaded and ran a few loads of lumber to the shed from the massive pile in the driveway.

Running (Commmute) 53:00 [3]
shoes: Salomon XT Wings

Very humid run to work, and watched the moon set on the night run back.

Running (Commute +) 32:00 [3]
shoes: Salomon XT Wings

Run to work + I ran one load of firewood down to the shed from the huge pile in our driveway.

Running 32:00 [3]
shoes: Salomon XT Wings

Run home in the rain, and another load of wood.

Running 1:05 [3]
shoes: Brooks CP Green 2

A different run in the Don Valley with Bulletdog. Again, many trails have been closed and overgrown even since last year, but we found some new ones too.
Fun exploration, even some bushwhacking. Bulletdog was a real trooper, hopping over a waist-high fence like an antelope then waiting for me to cross.
