Off to Albion to meet Coach LD for a really great full tour, then another loop of the technical trails with Rocky. At the one corner that I can't get around, Rocky hopped off and attacked the obstacles until it was ride-able. Don't mess with Rocky!
CN Bike-O in Palgrave. Off to a good start with nav working well, but in the cold pouring rain my rx glasses were completely fogged and my chain snapped.
Still managed to clean the course under the time limit pretty much by braille, and loved it!
Thanks to Rocky and her assistant Dunc for setting this up, and for standing in the rain waiting for us. Good thing your jacket is bright blue or you'd have been recumbent pizza at the bottom of that steep hill ;)
Link workout. A bit easy on some of the leg stuff, but did extra hams, glutes and other stuff according to Dr Billy and Bash.
Running hills 55:00 shoes: Brooks CP4 Yellow
Off for a run on nice soft ground, hitting all the hills of Palgrave. Legs felt light and fast, but I had to pull the plug early when the knee hurt in the usual spot after about 45 mintues.
Note
The hills are alive with the sounds of Morel hunters. Saw a few folks in Palgrave, but their quarry was scarce.
Ultrasound results back- pretty vague- areas of inflammation in both medial (1.1cm) and lateral (1.9cm) compartments of the bad knee, and there's a lesser amount on the lateral part of the "good" knee too.
Popliteal Fossae appear normal and there is no evidence of joint effusion on either side. X-rays normal.
So, no clear diagnosis of a flap or tear that's an easy fix. 7 months since I hurt it, and it's *somewhat * better.
Great bike ride with Leanimal and Goose up by Hardwood and Horseshoe.
Chilly with snow-covered forest to start, but it thawed out and so did we. Lots of singletrack and doubletrack, still tons more trails to explore.
