Note

For Zoolander- the new light is something I pimped up from another dude's experimental light. If you missed it:
http://www.ar.attackpoint.org/viewlog.jsp/user_921...

I'm afraid it's a one-off. There may be a kit coming out soon though.

Here's the thread on the light-geek forum.
http://forums.mtbr.com/showthread.php?t=653588&hig...

Basically 800 lumens with a nice tight beam, lighter than an Apex (70-130 lumens), tiny battery goes 90 min at full, 7 hours on medium, weeks on low. Easy custom dim mode too. Takes my big batteries also for multi-day burn, or AAs.

I like it better than Ay-ups as it's smaller, almost twice as powerful, and burns far longer on the lower power modes, not to mention the option of bigger batteries.

Also only cost me just over $200 plus some geekery, including battery.

I've been commuting on medium power.

Paddlng 1:25:00 [2]

Nice paddle with Bash on the Nottawasaga, as she's testing some uber-paddles from Mike Fekete.

Strength (Home Gym) 45:00 [2]

Knee's a bit sore from lots of biking this week, so I took today off.

Workout #1 + 20-25-25-20 pushups, and some foot-hab but no kneehab today.

Still a nice day to be out gardening.

Cycling (Commute) 45:00 [2]

Yet another great day for a commute- Frosty AM and dark PM but so what.

Strength (Core) 20:00 [2]

Caron's core class. Not too bad today.

Yoga 50:00 [1]

Very knee-friendly today- mostly shoulder and upper body stuff, easy for me.

Strength (Home Gym) 1:00:00 [2]

Workout 2 plus 18-20-25-20 pushups.
Also the usual kneehab and foothab.

Cycling (Commute) 45:00 [2]

Still perfect biking weather. The Bulletdog's getting super-fit, even though she has to stick right by me on the night ride home.

Note

As requested, here are some pics of the new version of the kayak trainer Mike F has for sale. It's $1400, aluminum and comes apart for storage.
No commercial interest- I just like ours and Mike's a good guy.

Cycling (Commute) 45:00 [2]

Frosty morning in, moonlight home. Bulletdog and I saw 3 pairs of eyes attached to deer that took off, but the hound didn't even care. Such a great commuter!

Strength 1:00:00 [0]

Long session of kneehab, foothab, stretching and core.

Cycling (Commute) 50:00 [2]

Another frosty morning and headlamp return. New light rocks!

Strength 10:00 [1]

Foothab, kneehab
Also did 50 push-ups in 1 set. Wasn't easy though.

Paddlng 1:45:00 [1]

Bolton Fall Fifty part 1
An expedition organized by Goose- see Bash's log for pics.
We started with a nice paddle down the Humber with Bash. Surprisingly high water levels, but Phats and I still had a hard time running a 1M beaver dam.
Fantastic paddling weather for November.

Cycling 1:50:00 [3]

From the Goose nest we biked up to THQ via mostly side roads and doubletrack. Best ride I've had since my surgery- so-o-o-o good to be out for a decent ride. The 'bent actually moves pretty well on roads- I need to ride my brakes on the downhills unless I'm out front. Also includes a less hilly ride back. Did *not* contest any King of the Mountain or Sprint points.

Hiking 1:00:00 [1]

A ramble around Palgrave with Lee, Phats and Bulletdog, while the rest ran.

Back to bikes, then a great post-expedition meal and slideshow at the Goose Nest.
