Note

Maria Parker did 250 miles on this FWD recumbent to reclaim the 12 hour TT record:

Looks a bit more comfy than a regular TT bike.

Strength 40:00 [2]

Home Gym- workout 2 + pull-ups (WTF- only sets of 8? How fast it goes away!) and some KBs and foot/kneehab

Strength (Lumberjack) 20:00 [2]

Working at race-pace, got up a good sweat. Only partially count the time.

Cycling 1:00:00 [4]

Bit short of time, but too nice a day not to take a spin around Albion. Where was this speed at the 24hr race? For some reason the big bent was really handling the twists and bumps well, with the bigger suspension and grippier Racing Ralph tubleless tires I put on for WT. Also, trails were perfect, dry but not loose. I even made it around the one remaining corner that almost always has foiled me this year.
First solid effort since WT.

Cycling (Commute) 50:00 [2]

Gorgeous day, but no extras as Bulletdog and I had to get home so I could give Bash and Ang a ride back to Terra Cotta and a great dinner at the Inn. Nice to catch up with Ang a bit.

Strength (Home Gym) 50:00 [2]

Full foothab, kneehab, and most of workout #1. Been a while.

Lumberjack 20:00 [2]

Hauling, splitting and stacking a couple more loads.

Cycling 1:00:00 [3]

Sun and singletrack in the fall leaves! Great ride down to Albion and around the Northern trails then to work. Took a good wipeout on one spot- I guess having a heavy pack strapped on the rack changes things.

Cycling 20:00 [2]

Easy nighttime zip home.

Note

Another Canadian sets the world record-

Bruce Gordon just biked unsupported around the world on his recumbent in 153 days, taking 10 days off the record (pending OK from the Guinness Records folks)

As he said in his understated way, not bad for a guy in his 50s. It's 29,000 km, so almost 200km/day *average*!!

Cycling (Commute) 50:00 [2]

Easy ride in and back with Bulletdog. She got a workout after we got home when she did intervals with Bazinga the loopy dog.

Running (Commute) 28:00 [2]
shoes: La Sportiva Crosslite 2.0

Easy run in to work.... with Bazingadog!
We got the OK to run him gently on leash.

His very first commute. The little guy was pretty darn good on leash, but I had his collar really tight near the roads.

Bazinga would have taken off after the 2 deer we saw early in the commute for sure.

Running (Commute) 32:00 [1]
shoes: La Sportiva Crosslite 2.0

Easy commute back with the lad, with lots of stops to sniff things. He did really well today.

Misc (Lumberjack) 10:00 [1]

Oh, I'm a lumberjack and I'm OK... started hauling, splitting and stacking this year's wood. I guess swinging a splitter maul is similar to kettlebells.

Running 1:10:00 [3]
shoes: Brooks CP4 Yellow

Out with Bulletdog on the trails near Brantford, and off running an errand too.
As always, knee was a bit sore after.
