Skijoring 30:00 [2]

Out to tire the beasties.

XC Skiing 2:00:00 intensity: (1:00:00 @2) + (1:00:00 @3)

Out with Bash for a very nice tour of Mansfield. Highlands probably has better snow, but Mansfield is half the drive and we never got there last year.
Parking lot was packed, but the nice woods up top were almost empty. Everyone was down on the lower green trail.
Waxless conditions, and some debris on the trail, but a nice ski anyway. Seems a lot slower without my big buddy towing me.

Lumberjack 20:00 [3]

Hauled a very heavy sled of logs over to our neighbour's house from way up the trail where they sawed a few fallen trees. Bazingadog helped, as I wore the Skijoring setup even though I was on foot. Felt like something from Admunsen's expeditions.

Bah- Bazingadog and I were all set for another zoom to work, but howling winds and creaking trees meant taking the #@* van.

Skijoring 20:00 [3]

Wind let up, so a quick after-work blast with the dogs.

Skijoring 30:00 [2]

Bit of a fail- Took Brody in on a different trail, but it was basically a stop-and-sniff expedition until the last 10 minutes. His new harness is awesome when he's in front, but doesn't work well when the dog is behind the skier with his head down a rabbit hole.

Strength (Core) 20:00 [3]

Tough class today.

Yoga 50:00 [1]

Not gruelling but held poses for a long time. Wasn't really into it today.

Here's the Skijoring video. You can watch on HD at http://youtu.be/sOz2om7-trw

Strength (Home Gym +) 1:00:00 [2]

Foot/kneehab, workout 1 + KB and some pull-ups.

XC Skiing (Commute +) 50:00 [3]

Out with Mocha the Bulletdog for a ski to work.
Man I love my commute this time of year- fluffy snow falling, good ski conditions.

XC Skiing (Commute) 30:00 [3]

Perfect night ski home with Bulletdog. Fresh pow, dead calm, not a single car to be seen.

Skijoring 1:40:00 [3]

Out with Bash and Bazingadog on a perfect sunny winter day.
Great conditions right out the door.

Got some good video, so the YouTube vid should be out soon.

Snowshoeing 1:47:00 intensity: (1:00:00 @1) + (47:00 @2)
(sick)

Still sick, but got a good 8 hours of sleep.

Out with Bash and Bulletdog for a bushwhack tour of Palgrave East's lesser known corners. Snowshoes are great for that!

Bazingadog's turn. We thought Bash could film us whoosh by, but the big guy slammed to a halt by her side each time. Might still have gotten some interesting footage anyway. Video coming soon.

He was a lot better when we headed out for a loop with just the 2 of us, but didn't pull as much without Mocha to chase. Until we saw 4 deer, then he galloped along the trail like a champ.
He likes to scoot along at 18-19kph, but on the slower uphills it's just a dog-walk, not a high speed haul.

Running 2:10:00 [3]
(sick) shoes: Icebugs Gryllo Green

After a terrible night of hacking and snorting I woke up feeling like cr@p, but since this was the WOH run today I decided to dose up with Advil Cold and Sinus and suck it up. My headache went away and things cleared up for about 4 hours.

Great turn-out, perfect fluffy snow. My legs felt like lead for the first couple of km, but got moving OK after a while. The same legs started writing cheques my virus-addled lungs couldn't cash when chasing Zoolander up K2 so I dialed it back. Seemed to go better on the flats.

Nice to bask in Zoo's glow, as Hammer and I ran with him for the whole enchilada. I think I heard creaking menisci from Hammer near the end but his knee made it past the 2hr barrier as he gave us the full tour.

Back to the Hottage for great treats, pooch-scratching and Boundless-previewing. The early bird gets the Domestique, but there was still good coffee to be had. Great hosting by Traveloney- many thanks.
