Solid run down to the new Confederation bridge in Palgrave and back via Charlevoix by headlamp.
Legs felt light and fast after several days off running. Ice bugs really had to dig in on some of the icy double track.
Bah- nice hard ground now, but screaming winds in the AM turned the forest into an avalanche zone so no run yet again :(
Strength (Core) 20:00 [2]
Almost turned and ran when I saw Caron wearing the dreaded Orange.
Tough class, but not too bad.
Yoga50:00 [2]
Turns out that a hard yoga class is more rep and strength based, not killer flexibility. Shocked to find that I'm actually somewhat decent at Crow pose, or crow-to-plank jumps.

Even slushier slosh back home. Had to hike-a-bike the slippery steeper hills, but the rest was surprisingly rideable. I saw ski tracks in the slush, which had to be the indomitable VO2max. Avoided doing a face plant, probably I because I can scooter down the hills with both feet I clipped just over the snow.
Should be even nastier tomorrow at +15c - may need to (gasp) drive.
We watched the ski races at Highlands- see Bash's log for pics.
After the racing we went out for a "cool-down" ski with Brit, who had just won female overall. Met Goose on some borrowed Juiced race skis, and skied with him for a bit. He flew down the racecourse downhill, with him skating for all he's worth while I came along behind on my classic skis considerably slower.
Later, Bash and I skied over to VO2max's place for a bonfire, skating on the pond and dinner, then back by headlamp.
