Hike in the Adirondacks with Bash, Ang and Matt. Download to follow.
Spaff had suggested we hike to Mt. Marcy and Mt. Skylight for maximum climbing, with all CCC mandatory gear and poles.
The rain and bugs held off, and the forest was gorgeous. We got a bit turned around with a trail on our map that no longer exists, but mostly things went well. Much of the trail was covered in pumpkin-sized rocks, and a surprising amount of it was a running stream bed.
The mountain peaks were open, and much easier footing so there was a bit of solid climbing there, along with spectacular views. Mostly it wasn't runnable, just nice brisk hiking with difficult footing.
Nice to spend some time with Ang and Matt.
All the climbing felt very easy compared with all the training I've been doing, and we had lots left in the tank at the end.
Drank 1 Vitargo, 1 Spizz (went down very well, mixes easier than Vitargo)
Small 12l pack was jammed full with full bladder, but ft better once I drank some water. Probably only need a partial bladder full for CCC.
Finished up all the lumberjack hauling and stacking, and did some pull-ups, cable press and kneehab. Going easy on the foothab though on my right foot.

Good run in with the big lad. He got a decent swim at the Wheelie pond too.
Run in with a very enthusiastic Bulletdog, and back with Bazingadog.
Supposed to bike, but Bulletdog insisted on a run, after being sick-as-a-dog yesterday.
