Strength 1:00:00 [2]

Foothab, kneehab, workout 2 + some kbs.

XC Skiing 35:00 [2]

Slow commute in the soft and soggy snow. Good thing I keep some glide liquid at work.

Bulletdog was a little trooper, tromping through the soft snow.

XC Skiing 35:00 [1]

Easy commute home. Snow hardened up a bit, so tracks were crackly where they weren't trampled.

XC Skiing 1:15:00 [2]

Fairly quiet commute to work, but we raised the Degree of Difficulty for the way home via the Rollercoaster. BZdog saw something in the conservation area, so he was on top form. My skiing resembled a poor Aerials landing when he took a turn on a steep hill while I went straight, hauling me into deep powder and plantais les visage.

Did some extra in Palgrave West while the light held out and the forecast rain held off.

Feeling better while on skis, but my sinuses are pounding if I try and run a step. Great sympathy for my patients who get toothaches in their upper teeth that are sinus-related.

XC Skiing 1:40:00 [2]

Feeling a bit better.

Great ski with Bash on yet another perfect bluebird day. Some bushwhacking in terrain we usually can't ski, some tracks in Charlevoix, awesome powder.

Next Bulletdog and I skied the sled up to Lookout hill and hauled a load the size of a full 4-man bobsled down to the bottom. We dropped off about 2/3 at the base, hauled up the drifted slope and the Canada 1 sled got some good speed on the final hill but took a rollover at the tough #3 turn.

Strength (Lumberjack) 30:00 [2]

Split the loads I hauled yesterday and today, and decided to lay into the massive logs from the big pine tree- at least the few I could get at under the snow and ice. The big maul wasn't enough, so I needed the sledgehammer as well but they split OK in the cold morning temps.

Also foot and kneehab.

Note

Bazingadog was going crazy when he saw some early morning deer through the window. When I took him out he managed to slip the leash (operator error) and blazed off after them, with me plodding and cursing after in over-the-Sorell -boot snow. Much to my shock and relief he came bounding up to me after only 2-3 minutes, and went on leash voluntarily. Maybe a hint of light at the end of the tunnel?

Snowshoeing 2:10:00 [2]
(sick)

Feeling a little better, so Bash and I took Bazingadog for a tromp through Glen Haffy through every possible hill and dale, mostly breaking through snow that was chest-deep on the lad. He had to leap like an antelope up the steep hills while pulling me, which eventually tired him out enough that he was looking hard for broken trails.
Mocha and I got the rest of the firewood after.

Great to be out again! Gorgeous day- no wind, perfect powder everywhere.
