Cycling 1:40:00 [3]

Tried out some new suspension mods on a destination ride up the rail trail to Tottenham. Classique Cafe was as good as I'd heard.

Blustery drizzly day but colours still great.

Strength 40:00 [2]

Part of workout 3 and lumberjack work

Workout 2 + rehab

Running 1:00:00 [3]
shoes: Altra Lone Peak 2.5

Solid run in with AD. Jaw-droppingly beautiful day. Fall colours, shorts and t-shirt weather.

Big tree down where we cross into the conservation area from the North- glad I got a ride yesterday.

Running 30:00 [2]
shoes: Altra Lone Peak 2.5

Night run home with AD.

Running 29:00 [3]
shoes: New Balance Leadville 3

Run to work with AD in freakishly warm weather. High of 27c!
Howling wind advisory had me getting a ride home, just before the sky opened up.

Cycling race (MTBO) 1:16:28 [3] 15.49 km (12.2 kph) +193m

Star Tracks MTBO.
Last time I made some dumb mistakes due to over-familiarity.
Torrential rain at the start (after all the nice weather) didn't deter a big turnout.
My legs were tired from yesterday, trails were wet, roots were slick and my rear brake pads wore out completely by the second control, all of which made sure I took care with the nav rather than hammering.

Other than a small mixup at CP3, where I somehow still managed to drop a huge crowd other than Stina, things went well. Crash, Stina and I leapfrogged a bit. I took shorter but more complicated routes, but probably lost more time stopping to double-check the map than I would if I took the longer double track.

Ended up second overall and first Masters behind the shockingly fast Wokitoki (Probably doping *and* using a motor- or he's just really good).
Stina and Crash were 3rd and 4th overall and won their categories too.

Consensus was that it was a great event- well planned, well run, good prizes. Thanks Bash, Mick et al.
