Cycling 30:00 [2]

Another outing, this time with the big guy. He was crazy-excited to see the bike, and we had a great romp with his skijoring setup. He ran out of gas and stretched out in the snow for a while, but was really pumped for a run at his choice of speed.

Still got some drivetrain issues.

Running 1:59:49 [3] 14.14 km (8:28 / km) +521m 7:09 / km

Beautiful easy run of the Hockley prov. park trails with Bash and AD. Feels and looks like winter, even if we can't ski.
My cold's not incapacitating.

Cycling 30:00 [3]

Just not quite enough snow for rock skis, so went out testing the bike with B+ tires. I got a WTB Ranger 2.8 to fit in my existing front fork, and ran it with 15psi.
I tried to improve the chainline to clear the big rear tire, but ended up with issues that had me heading home early.

Nice jog in with the Big Boy. He was excellent on leash, and thrilled to get 2 days in a row. A little more jogging and less walking, but he still takes breaks.
Excellent pooch on our night jog home.

Note- think I'm getting a cold.

XC Skiing 1:05:00 [2]

Commute with Bazingadog. Sticky snow on the way there, more glide but sparse snow cover on the return trip in marginal conditions. Big boy loved it, but took his time.

DGL Icebreaker.
I had a hard time at the Raid, so I planned a cautious strategy, starting easy on the killer K, getting the biggies but passing some blue and green controls on the East side in order to have more nav time in the West.
Turned out that my legs and nav were ok, the course was defintiely clean-able, and other than a 4 minute error at 46 (upside down map- d'oh!) I ended up back earlier than I thought, which left me scrambling to clean the course inefficiently and I came in a minute overtime (but within 27 seconds on my Garmin).

Griz and 10 others (including 2 juniors) cleaned the course faster than I did.
Bash won Masters Female, and did well overall female too.

Fun times, and I felt a lot better than at RTH.
