Hiking 4:00:00 [1]
shoes: Altra Lone Peak 2.5

Hike with the gang up Silver Peak.
Amazing blueberries up there- most I've seen.
We got hit by a storm and had to wrap up in the tarp for lunch.

Rainy, stormy day.
Back across the big portage to David Lake. Heard a lot of thunder during the portage, and the footing was extra slippery.

Shut Up Legs weekend part 3.
Practice with full race pack, aid station and race clothes and shoes.

Melanie B and BGY joined me for Hockley Quest For Hills, with tired legs to start, hiking hills with poles at a sustainable pace.
We did extra climbs and repeated some especially nasty ones. Gorgeous cool morning and good company. BGY gave us a tour with extra views.

The legs were good to start, but they certainly felt it by the last hour.

BGY had taken a bit shorter loop with less hill repeats, but met us with cold IPA at the parking lot!

Met Bash for a nice lunch at Black Birch to cap it off.

Note- Glad I tested the newer Hokas I planned to use at UTMR- part of the sole ripped off, after only 16 hrs of running on them.

Drank 3L infinit, 0.5ml water and a small glass of good beer at the end.
