Snowshoe with Tarno and the quadruped boys.
Bushwhacking in deep powder! Brilliant Sunshine! -12C! We’d thought about running in spikes- no way on the minor trails. Good thing for the mighty Bazingadog- but he slacks on the steepest hill.
We met up with Bash, Jackie and Koko, and headed down the Bruce with them. The main trail is fairly well packed down.

I had brought my beater commuter waxless skis, but when I opened my ski bag I found my new skin skis from last year! Nice classic tour with Bash.

Another ski to work- amazing for mid-Nov. Return trip by headlamp was getting a bit sparse and slow, even with a strongly hauling BZdog.

Excellent 2-dog ski around the ‘hood. The beasts were flying out the gate, but fairly sedate by the time we returned.

Wahoo, first tracks to work! BZdog was very distracted by canine and deer tracks. Not much base, but basically early winter conditions in decent powder- amazing for mid- November. Snow still good for the ski home.

Recovery waddle commute with AD, just as the snow started. Definitely feeling worked, and my knee and glute on one side and hamstring on the other all feel it.
Sluggish but beautiful headlamp run home in the heavy snow. Ski tomorrow?

RTH with Tarno and MsGally.
Solid race with great teammates. My legs were pretty heavy from the get-go, and a fairly hard fall and a waist-deep river crossing didn’t help.
We were basically alone after the matrix, as the 3 hotshot male teams were long gone and we left Ursula and Julie’s team in Game of Thorns.
As expected, Bob/Jack/Luca won in a ridiculous time, while Harps/Mick/Scotty were close on their heels, and Storm wasn’t far behind.
Tarno was both fast and accurate, and MsGally is so tough we all pushed hard and worked together very well. I’m going to be sore tomorrow.
We ended up 4th overall, first masters and co-ed, but an hour behind the winners!
Bash, MsTiny and Browner won female too.
