Hike to The Crack along the LaCloche trail. Spectacular!
Clear skies, great views, amazing birds.



So hot we needed a swim in the frigid water.
I even did some front crawl when we got back.

Paddle in to Norway lake with Bash, Hammer and Starr. About 2km portaging with heavy loads.
Blackflies were out and it was hot, but the spring woods were spectacular and the warblers were singing full force. The run back for load 2 on the portages was phenomenal.
Barb brought the Norwegian Queen- a huge heavy car-camping bug tent, and it was paradise in there out of the bugs.







We went in for a dip- Mike and I even got a few strokes in!
Mirror calm in the evening. Great for photos, even better for the bugs.

Sprint/trot/hike the dogs and hauled a big load of wood chips in the wagon on the way back.

Hike with the hounds. Run to start, then a trot, but lots of shuffle-sniff.
No leash- 4 deer close enough that *I* can smell them- no problem for off leash Gentleman Dog. Passed the turkey challenge too.

Loading and lugging loads of wood chips from remote pile next door over hill and dale.

Coughing out fewer blackflies today than last time.

Also did some trail work - hand cut some fallen branches.
