Strength 45:00 [2]

Lumberjack- hauled and split 2 loads.

Note- Tons of snow up in Kolapore. Would have been terrible driving but good skiing.

Hiking 50:00 [1]

Fam hike from home. The big guy’s doing well in the snow- his favourite time of year.

Strength 30:00 [2]

Had to go in to work as a hygienist as I’m the last man standing this week and some patients had been moved twice. We missed the window to go up North between storms.

First half workout 1 plus rehab after work.

XC Skiing 30:00 [1]

Woo-hoo, first ski out the door! Took the dogs, so it was pretty slow.
My glide gel wore off after only 20 minutes and it was bricking up, but a ski is still a ski.
AD met a coyote- or at least headed off to say Hi until I called him to stop. The big guy was interested but didn’t chase.

Running 55:00 [3]
shoes: La Sportiva Blizzard

Run with AD. Still feel the legs a bit from RTH.

RTH with STORM and Chris Piller. (Gally is recovering from a nasty bout with Covid.) I was worried about keeping up with these 2 gazelles, but they kindly gave me the shorter matrix legs. After hammering for about an hour at the back I did OK once I warmed up. They were still stronger on the climbs but I had decent legs for the rail trail and descent sections. One very steep climb had me walking it off for a bit after- the boys were patient.
We leapfrogged Eddie/Weersink, then caught Attack from Above and MBR on the road section. The top 2 teams were still at the PYP relay CP, but we were the last of the 6 out. We ended up leapfrogging MBR as they kept finding easier route choices, but passed them on the road/trail run to the finish.
Bob/Scott/Shannon’s team won in about 2:41, Eddie’s team won Male and we won Masters. We were also behind Harper/Jack/Nicole and AFA.

Great run with these fast, super-nice teammates, although we were sorry to lose Gally.
