Fun clockwise hot lap of all four DTE loops w/ BNM. Target time was 2:00:00 after BNM ran a 1:57 with Voit including a minor detour.

We got passed twice like we were standing still!

Didn't get the Camber wheel retaped, so I took the Dragon which is a bit different of an experience, and also could use some hub love as the rear is a tiny bit wobbly.

Buddy brought over some training treats and a training treat dispenser bag for K's upcoming class with naughty dog. He rode the 4-5 miles over, then we did this loop, then he continued back to his house.

Not too bad with the riding breeze. I drank 56 ounces and was thirsty, he nursed a single bottle for his entire 8 mile longer ride!

Super fun lap of green blue orange blue and green with B & T. Really fun trails to ride there at DTE

Considered two laps, but I didn't sleep much and have too much stuff to do at the ranch.

Passed once, got passed once.

LOL bike stuff

The only material differences are: extra brand identifier on the dial gage, and the presta end instead of the shrader one.

Started out to bomb around a bit with the kids, so I didn't change out of flip flops which was dumb, as it's a great way to rough up the top of your toes if you ever do slip off the pedals, say, leaving a stop sign with a heavy trailer.

We went out to one of my favorite peninsulas, and then on the turn around it became apparent that one of the stupid trailer tires went flat. Naturally I had nothing with to fix it, so four miles back of thump thump thump. Although it's hard enough on that combo that it wasn't even that much worse. I'm pretty sure those rims are not tubeless ready, so off the internet for new tubes.

Tempting to get power pedals to see what watts are on a ride like that, since HR is comparable to 2x speed. Think of all the hill power

100 mile loop w/ Todd.

No birthday numeric significance, just something I hadn't done before.

I came prepared - first aid, spare chain, spare tube, etc.

The route had to be revised as I didn't know the Grosse Isle free bridge was closed. Todd had never been on Grosse Isle, and I hadn't done a full lap, so we go our money's worth out of the extra six miles a trip up to the toll bridge cost.

I got lucky on guessing a shortcut or two to get the miles back down to the target (Barbara's 103 + 1 = 104).

Shout out to BNM who caught us at 50 miles with fresh gatorade and McDs breakfast, woo woo!

Pointe Mouillee remains scenic!

Things I would do differently:

* Go easier out of the gate, even if it's cool out and downhill
* Make sure I have salt...with no AR my supplies are all low or misplaced...I didn't know inner thighs could cramp
* Go with more gatorade, that's all I wanted to drink anyway
* Reapply sunscreen more often (minor ouch)
* Not have an unplanned two week zero mileage taper
* Sleep more the week prior
* Pick a route with less frequent stop signs and lights if going for speed
* Figure out Garmin so it doesn't die
* Taper / train differently so I have some watts

Surprisingly, in contrast to past two long outings, sitting wasn't a problem, but being out of watts was.

I swore off endurance cycling around mile 57, but now with the passage of time I might go long again, if I can find some more watts.

Todd was a great riding partner, 10/10 would ride with again.
