Walking 31:15 [1] 1.35 mi (23:11 / mi)

Great weather. Cooler and enough wind to keep the bugs away.

Running 1:17:13 [3] 6.26 mi (12:20 / mi)
shoes: Brooks Ghost 5s

Went to lunch Tuesday and was the fattest in the group. :(

I think I was buzzed by bats!

Such fun, not much straight.

Sunday Jul 26, 2015 #

Canoeing 3:00:00 [1] 12.0 mi (15:00 / mi)
shoes: Pirate Canoe

Nice paddle with TR and Lucky 21 team.

I tipped Matt's canoe. RIP 305. :(

Approximate route, not sure about the turnaround.
6 PM

Running 1:00:00 [3] 4.0 mi (15:00 / mi)
shoes: Brooks Cascadia 8s

I'm embarrassingly unfit. No mystery about why. Nice scenery and company. I will unabashedly abuse the mules at the next few races!

Approximate route

All trespassing was unintentional and can be attributed to a dearth of maps at the trailhead. Coast Guard park would be sweet o, even with the high trail density.

Note

Home inspection turned up no issues. Mission accomplished: Plymouth proper. Barring any disasters, by mid October, I should be about ~16 miles of this from work.

Which is good, because I'll need to burn off the desserts we can get with just a half mile walk:

ahr:147 max:160 shoes: Hoka Bondi 3

Just fast enough to keep the mosquitoes away

Note

Raking seems like good AR training. It's repetitive, sweaty, and I was assaulted by bugs.

Sort of a "welcome back to running".

Felt right at home in w4j's new boat, which \appears to be the same model as mine.

Kept it easy and did a lake paddle across Kensington up to the originally intended put in.
5 PM

Walking 1:32:26 intensity: (31:36 @0) + (1:00:50 @1) 4.38 mi (21:07 / mi) +4m 21:04 / mi

Wore out poor puppy #2. Somewhat muggy. Errands complete.

Biking 2:22:37 intensity: (53:52 @1) + (39:28 @2) + (32:52 @3) + (16:25 @4) 28.15 mi (11.8 mph) +206m

I have looked at every conceivable house, and may conceivable sports cars, so I decided to be productive and get some Epic training in.

Green was 69:52, so I'm off by ~5-7 minutes - not a surprise given my spring and summer thus far. Hopefully I can sharpen up a bit - mostly I think I need more gravel grinding because I think I lost the time doing ~15 mph on the flats instead of 18+ needed to set a good lap.

Spring Mill lot was FULL!

Note

Currently 0 for 5 on houses.

#1 - odd musty smell and weirdness and missing garage and missing a/c took away all points for exterior character
#2 - Everything was great! Except the price was high and the basement must take on water from time to time
#3 - The weirdness of a house not much bigger than our current house formerly being a THREE unit rental coupled with a spectacular view of the much nicer condos behind it...meh
#4 - I thought we could get into a slightly beat up house...but my word. I don't know how they managed to quite trash that place in the way they did. The selling realtor had thoughtfully left a renovation estimate of just $150k to tack onto the purchase price. It's still easy to get equity free six figure loans, rightt?

#5 - Kimberly fell in love, but I voted no thanks because of the cat currently living there. Can't much ride a bike to work if you wake up wheezy for the next five years.

Kicking myself for not applying myself the last 14 years at FoMoCo so I could be in the next salary grade and we could just get a nice no issues place in whatever location. Not sure how much longer we pursue Location #1 before retreating back to something else, like giving up and heading to Brighton to minimize 2/3rds of the family's commute and screwing 1/3rd.

Note

I did mow and walk the dog >1.5 miles.
