Walking 1:39:57 [3] 4.76 mi (21:00 / mi) +43m 20:26 / mi

So many logistics mistakes by me, I should take notes.

1. Make up a box-less training set with special labels. People will apparently punch anything! Which isn't a problem, except that I like to assign the SI-8s mostly, so when they are lost it's not so sad, but then there's no margin on a 30 flag course for extra punches.

2. Learn to tell time

3. Not sure why livelox looks funny re: chopped up circles and numbers. It was a quick and dirty method (open map in OOM, import PPen ocad export), export png, use png world to align. This was after my laptop went belly up, Friday at 8 pm, so I suppose anything is better than nothing.

I might be limited on Widows-based club work for the moment. I am hijacking daughter's laptop, which is a 2013 MBP, which is nice because thanks to iCloud I am mostly operational straight away. Also, the keyboard is THE nicest among the three MBPs in the house. But there's not nearly enough room to do parallels. And my work laptop is not a safe place to install fun stuff. Maybe I can retrieve the club's soon.

Santa hat blew off, but I found it on the way back, unfortunately the felt picked up a few leaves so that will be a little tedious to clean up.

New trailer pulled nicely, but I do need to sort out a better Friday/Monday sleeping roll + snow clothes transport system (such as a duffle bag I can just hang over the push bar). Ran it no blanket @ 34 deg and boy was fine behind the rain shield.

Trying out the newer trailer. Why a new trailer? The old trailer has a flat. A tire and a tube would be like $30. This trailer was $50 off marketplace, has three tires still with nubs, has suspension, and has the conversion to jogging stroller (the old one did but broke a long time ago, not repairable unless you had metalworking skills).

Downside: far less cargo volume than old trailer. May have to rig something up particularly for Mondays/Fridays when there's a sleeping mat, at least until March or so when someone ages out of compulsory nap time.

Verdict:

It does pull nicer, and is wholly a nicer system with better fit, finish, craftsmanship, strap system, plus 20" wheels instead of 16s, but I imagine if you are like a typical person and only end up pulling kids a few dozen miles lifetime, the cheap ones are fine. Currently old trailer is at 70 miles this year so far, and doesn't count the tag along.

Now to find a cheap tire and tube for old trailer so I can keep a studded bike rigged up for snow days. Or maybe a spare hitch will be cheaper....

The tire did not just need to be pumped up...flat in three blocks. I am not the world's biggest fan of wrestling tires levers at 30 degree. :-| (Yes I will bring it inside for pliability)

Flat trailer tire...hopefully it responds to just being pumped back up.

Dragging. Not sure if tired from Woldumar, or tires need air. Or just tired.

Enjoyable motala on Addie's new Woldumar Nature Center map. Map was super usable. Green was no joke, offset by some nice stuff down by the river.

+add some time to compensate for my preview during printing and xml preparation. I try not to work out routes other than noticing, hey there's more than one, and I did know Lap 3 started out east.

I am normally somewhat scale impervious but boy life comes at you fast at 1:5k.
