Orienteering 1:08:59 intensity: (43:59 @0) + (18:52 @1) + (3:24 @2) + (2:31 @3) + (13 @4) * 3.48 mi (19:49 / mi) +37m 19:11 / mi
ahr:121 max:167 spiked:13/13c shoes: Brooks Cascadia

Flag hanging. Somewhat stressed, since I was worried about finishing too late, but it worked fine.

Orienteering 7:31 intensity: (24 @0) + (27 @1) + (1:01 @2) + (52 @3) + (2:01 @4) + (2:46 @5) * 0.68 mi (11:07 / mi) +25m 9:58 / mi
ahr:176 max:221 spiked:1/1c shoes: Brooks Cascadia

Probably could've set this one yesterday, but I left it for today. Upside it reminded me to set the southern water stop.

Note

Retested Ór, and everything was working. Just have to make sure the cards are cleared and checked.

So I think I have some chance of success. Live results would be cool, especially with the auto scoring. I hope I can get everyone checked in by the start, but worst case I could have them start a list and just type while they are on the course.

I also learned how to resync the controls' times, and even had the master set to current time, so I shouldn't have to do any shenanigans on the competition settings for Ór to calculate everything correctly.

Orienteering 1:50:42 intensity: (1:04:44 @0) + (24:32 @1) + (14:38 @2) + (5:53 @3) + (54 @4) + (1 @5) * 4.74 mi (23:22 / mi) +65m 22:24 / mi
ahr:124 max:178 spiked:16/16c shoes: INOV8 285

Setting up half of the flags for tomorrow. Woods really opened up. Surprisingly, all of my yellow tape withstood the recent high winds.
12 PM

Canoeing 1:41:33 intensity: (1:41:09 @0) + (24 @1) 6.07 mi (16:44 / mi) +27m 16:30 / mi
ahr:101 max:127 shoes: Pirate Canoe

Nice run up the Huron to get reacquainted with dodging dead fall.
2 PM

Biking 34:37 intensity: (24:23 @0) + (8:02 @1) + (2:12 @2) 6.11 mi (10.6 mph) +26m
ahr:118 max:150 shoes: Jamis Dragon Sport 29er

Just a short ride so Jeff could try out his bars. I forgot my helmet (that's twice now!) so we stuck to the badlands, where a crash would not be fatal.

Speaking of crashes...clipless crash total +1. Turning in sand, forgot to stay leaned to unclipped side.

Note

No training, but I just might have Ór working for instantaneous live results for SI punchers. Woo hoo!

I slightly bit off more than I should have for this weekend. I sure hope I can get maps printed. Those seem crucial.

Running 43:39 intensity: (12 @0) + (1:39 @1) + (25:55 @2) + (11:28 @3) + (4:25 @4) 4.47 mi (9:46 / mi) +4m 9:45 / mi
ahr:151 max:176 shoes: Brooks Cascadia

It was really hard to resist the new Call of Duty, but I managed to get myself out and run the sewer bill over to the township office.

It felt great, just a nice and easy run.

I used the Cascadias in case the swamp was wet after the rain, but it wasn't. Also, those may have lost some of their life. And they are too small after adventure racing lengthened my feet. Time to cash in that running store credit!

Orienteering 40:00 [2] * 1.5 mi (26:40 / mi)
spiked:8/8c

Control pickup. Wasn't dressed for it, but the woods are nice so it worked out okay.
