Peach Mountain Trail Update and Boulder Survey Phase #1.
I walked the new trail near the usual start, forward and backward, so Igor can add it. Later I also double walked the junction that is out of date after some brush has people routing around it.
Boulder surveying was not as simple as it sounds. I took a bunch of pictures for the Boulder Review Committee. I also couldn't even find a couple of them. I am curious how close I was. Then, you measure some .3 m boulders that are on the map, turn a corner, and see three .3 m boulders that aren't on the map. :| Well now what do you do with that!
Wife was talking about a hike tomorrow - maybe we can do the main trail at Peach Mountain and that would give a gps track to tweak the one wonky trail bend on the main drag.
So maybe an end of August time frame would be best for canoe o, like 8/24. Kensington has a mud run or something on 8/25, but maybe that would still work. It's a week after Wilderness Traverse and not Labor Day. Something to work towards anyway.
Leg seems to hurt the most just as you put it up on a stair and go to push off. I have a hunch I could run on it without discomfort. It seems to be focused for a strain, but not painful enough to be cracked. :\
Stopped at the resale shop and browsed xc skis. Unfortunately the selection of crazy old boots did not match the much wider selection of old (three pin) skis. They only had a few more modern types, but only 1 pair of boots for each type.

Before today started, I pictured a pre church or afternoon mega ride. Instead I slept in, then took a three hour nap after lunch.
Leg still feels off when sitting around. I could probably run on it and it would feel fine, just achy when you have the time to notice these things. Tempted to treat it as a tendinitis issue, do more warmup, and hope for the best.
I should have my tire changed here in the near future, since it seems to have a consistent slow leak.
