Note

Blargh, was driving more or less past Pontiac, so I tried to stop in at HQ to check on the permit since I am "not the world's largest phone fan", but they were closed.

At least I realized I forgot to include the insurance so I can try to get that sent over.

Here are maybe half of the turkeys chilling outside the empty PLRA HQ.

Biking 2:11:32 intensity: (35:18 @0) + (59:07 @1) + (29:08 @2) + (7:35 @3) + (24 @4) 27.38 mi (12.5 mph) +177m

I forgot to drop off the SMOC banner when I gave Al the equipment so I biked it over. Slightly uncomfortable since it stuck out high enough to made me ride head down. :-)

I was going to do a little A2 sightseeing, but before I got to Al's place it was already drizzling. Visibility with my o nerd goggles was spotty; a runner on that paved trail out of Bandemer spooked me. Plus my toes got cold, so I bailed at the hospital.

Had to run a red by the hospital when it was clear that after two light cycles, a 30 lb aluminum bike was not going to trigger the inductive sensor.

Accidentally shut the watch off trying to wipe away some rain, but it looks like AP added it all back in there.

Walking 1:18:00 [2] 3.57 mi (21:49 / mi) +46m 20:59 / mi
shoes: Inov8 Roclite 319

Great Badlands hike with Cooper, Zandra, and Barbara. Slow speed attributed to frequent climbs and a very bushwhacky low ridge before we crossed a creek using an abandoned shopping cart.
7 PM

Biking 1:00:00 [2] 9.6 mi (9.6 mph) +32m
shoes: The General

Nice multi terrain bike ride, with gravel in the Badlands, some sand (33/18 does not work in slow sand), some trail, some two track, some road, some singletrack, more road, and a little pace line.

I realized I forgot my watch about 1.5 miles after I left my house. I cursed. It would've been fun to see the heartrate jogging up the Badlands hills, and it would be easy to not have to figure out how to cut these tracks. AP doesn't like QR edited ones, at least the ones made by this operator.
