Bike tire was flat? Then I patched it and the small cut ripped under the patch and found freedom and reflatted. I'm tempted by tubeless because who can afford repeated 29er tube replacements. So the mega ride was deferred to another day.

~75 bales. Probably should have taken an hour, hour fifteen but we couldn't figure out why the baler wouldn't consistently tie so we were out in the field for more like six hours. Picture a swiss watch mechanism, covered in grease and straw and dust, and have it do nothing for 45 seconds then everything in about 250 milliseconds. Eventually we gave up and just let it tie one, then hand retied the next, repeat.

Theory on my sudden onset of back discomfort...from sleeping...is that Dog #1 was probably being annoying and requesting breakfast at some wee hour, so I probably sleepily scooped him up while doing a crazy contortion. That would all fit.

Also, looks like my existing pack assortment will be used for Thunder Rolls....no MS-1s "until fall". Business must be good, Mike.
