I haven't gotten in much faster pace stuff with just nine days or so before my 5.7 mile race a week from Saturday, so I'm shooting in the dark a bit....I think I am deciding...screw it, let's go for 7:20 pace again and hope I don't blow up. I will try to line up in the top 30, praying that competition is light and I can crack top 20 again. Anything slower than 7:35 and I'm out of the prizing, so go big or go home.
Looks like last year I was able to stay sub 8 average on the up hill; I should do that but then try to keep the final bit faster, as much as possible, really let loose on the downhill and feel the pain on the flat back to the finish.
