Original idea was to bike 20 miles to Newaygo State Park and camp, using my backpacking backpack to haul the necessary loot just for sleeping. But forecast called for rain both nights, so I wimped out.
I decided to just go on a midday dry whim and see what happens, aiming for seasonal roads (two track) when available.

What happened was I got a flat, thankfully only five miles from the house or so. I debating Phoning a Father In Law, but decided a little self-flagellation would be good inspiration to keep flat kits handier - I ran out of time to assemble it before we headed out here.
Besides, bike pushing is great practice for Caberfae or Wilderness Traverse, should I be able to assemble teams for those.
Walk to Walmart from work for a car battery. Walmart is out of Escape batteries. Walk to Home Depot from Walmart. Home Depot is out of Escape batteries. Walk back to work.
Call Shane, borrow Shane's car, get replacement battery from O Reillys. Try to install car battery. Drive Shane's car to Walmart for additional wrench. Return Shane's car, finish battery install.
Meet spouse on way home, get both cars in for oil changes. Walk to Tim Hortons to kill time / have a sammich. Walk back.

Fun sprint, no errors but only sneezes of a few seconds. Fun to run "fast".

Amateur hour - misread train underpasses, had no power, then overrevved anyway before nine (stopped, hands on knees) immediately before punching 9 and failing to double back for 10, skipping straight to 11 dammit. Time sucked anyway so the best time to incur a mp.
