Orienteering 1:10:05 [3] 3.11 mi (22:32 / mi) +135m 19:52 / mi
8c shoes: Roclites 295 2

Lovely morning to set the 8 points nearest Hall Lake. I was fortunate that the one I moved turned out to be an okay enough location. Always risky, but just wasn't happy with the original spot. (Several hundred meters, entirely different, not a tweak)

Setting the south-o-the-road points + the nearly night o bonus event points. Lovely day to be in the woods. Many more mosquitoes than the very recent scouting trip.

Orienteering 19:26 intensity: (8:01 @1) + (10:39 @2) + (34 @3) + (4 @4) + (8 @5) 1.07 mi (18:10 / mi) +19m 17:12 / mi

Semi orienteering. Had fun following various lead packs through the first half dozen, then waiting to see how the finish shook out and chasing Tom to see if he could work some magic to close the 20 second gap to gazelle Tim.

Quick partial Maybury test of tubeless front. Seems fine.

Note

ILRA green from JCP tomorrow at ~6:00 pm anyone? Tire testing.

Front is tubeless. It was harder to get it to inflate. It would have been made easier with an air compressor that could get above 20 psi, but today was not that day for my antiques roadshow behemoth.

Running 34:13 intensity: (6 @0) + (18:30 @1) + (3:03 @2) + (11:24 @3) + (1:03 @4) + (7 @5) 2.03 mi (16:51 / mi) +51m 15:38 / mi

Tried the shorter side of the hill, which is much harder I think - no head of steam to momentum up, just dig dig dig. Also the footing is more uneven/o simulator.

Hines, it turns out, was closed, which made it a nice stress-free ride. The intersections on closed days seem quieter, even if I guy did run a red just as I got my green. The car next to me gave him a good honk. I think he was checking his phone and was going to rolling right red onto closed Hines and then just went straight with it.

Note: It was low 30s this morning, that's why it was cold.

Biking 1:19:39 intensity: (3:26 @1) + (1:10:25 @2) + (3:57 @3) + (1:14 @4) + (37 @5) 15.7 mi (11.8 mph) +134m
ahr:146 max:192 shoes: Long Haul Trucker

Hines open, lots of cars. One bike caught up at a light and we remarked on the loud argument in the car in front of us.

More traffic than I wanted on Plymouth Road/Main Street, so I cut over one block too soon and lost five minutes to a train. Ooops!

Walking 45:00 [3]

Casual then increasingly vigorous yard work. Even broke my shovel.
