7 AM

Biking 15:55 [1] 1.51 mi (5.7 mph)
shoes: New Trailer

Ultra light powder slowing falling, which made things a little more cautious since that on ice is slick.

Might put studs on the free bike since orange bike is still out of commission, then pull with the redline cx bike on nicer days, I think that would work.

So it seems that this:

Meant otherwise, but at least it was a nice day for a walk, and only like two sidewalks were icy garbage. See yellow asterisk:

Biking 12:35 [1] 1.5 mi (7.2 mph)

Still some icier roads. Maybe stud the free bike, and pull with the beater road bike...until I can find a working nut solution for the orange bike..

Biking 1:00:41 [2] 9.59 mi (9.5 mph) +76m
ahr:140 max:159 shoes: Redline Conquest Cyclo-X

Time to try a new battery in the old heart rate strap. Numbers are from Apple Watch instead of the 50 bpm average.

That was colder and harder than I thought. Also, my apparel is not dialed in. But I am trying a new-to-us experimental dish, so I thought I should anchor it with Tier 1 bread (Great Harvest garlic cheddar) to appease my customers.

Walking 26:39 [3] 1.3 mi (20:30 / mi)

Whenever I wonder about a 10 minute wagon ride, I will recall he went sledding at similar temps for 45 minutes.

Biking 15:48 [1] 1.55 mi (5.9 mph)
shoes: New Trailer

Cold wasn't bad. Studs would have been nice, but I seem to have either buggered the threads on the orange bike, or have the wrong nut for it. Fingers crossed a semi local shop carries those....
2 PM

Biking (Trainer) 51:46 [1] 12.49 mi (14.5 mph)
ahr:123 max:134 shoes: Jamis Dragon Sport 29er

First one back is always the biggest fight against inertia - getting batteries into HRM straps, finding your bike shoes after the race three months ago, finding remotes...hopefully the rest are easier. #c2cdreams

Walking 27:19 [1] 0.68 mi (40:11 / mi) +32m 35:05 / mi

Portion of my sledding outing...I was curious how fast we were going. I thought north of 15 mph when we were hitting the small jump.
