Biking 19:21 intensity: (3:36 @0) + (15:45 @1) 1.81 mi (5.6 mph)
ahr:105 max:125 weight:231.4lbs shoes: 2015 Camber

Camberfixing has new rear rotor and pads, and no longer honks. Suspect was contamination. Also has a new front skewer.

I did the recommended 3-5 minutes drag w/ 2 minutes rest, which was a good workout. Who needs hills. Also it is somewhat warm.
6 PM

Biking 14:23 [3] 0.68 mi (2.8 mph) +9m
shoes: 2015 Camber

Riding places with Harvey is now track stand and wheelie practice time

Biking 13:10 [3] 0.7 mi (3.2 mph)

Biking 1:25:27 intensity: (2:33 @0) + (1:01:34 @1) + (19:57 @2) + (1:21 @3) + (2 @4) 20.57 mi (14.4 mph) +91m
ahr:129 max:165 weight:231lbs shoes: Long Haul Trucker

Would have been sub 80 if not for the 6:20 of train. No wonder the cyclist in front of me went for it.

Might be time for a new chain; I went to get on it good to get out in traffic and it jumped.

Biking 53:34 intensity: (27:38 @0) + (25:56 @1) 5.38 mi (6.0 mph) +29m
ahr:91 max:135 shoes: 2015 Camber

Poor buddy was doing an okay enough job, until he lost focus and got his bars caught in a hedge and went down. He had been doing well so I didn't enforce pants wearing since it's still hot, so a little knee scuff. I carried him the last two blocks because I am a terrible coddler. He plans to ride home.

Then off the store for some missing seasoning. Great paddle cross training, when you give an exaggerated "WTF" arms to a semi that runs past the stop sign for the sidewalk.

Why sidewalk? Because it's a five lane road (two north, two south) with divided suicide style middle, and NO ONE rides there so there'd be no expectation of ever seeing a car. Plymouth Township is a scourge.

Then back to return the borrowed bike lock to Harvey's bike, which we barely need to lock because his buddy rides a very new Trek compared to his very used Giant.

12 PM

Biking 59:20 intensity: (42 @0) + (34:07 @1) + (16:37 @2) + (7:45 @3) + (9 @4) 12.6 mi (12.7 mph) +149m
ahr:134 max:165 shoes: Long Haul Trucker

Wasn't sure how far to go, so instead went north to Northville for exploration and hills. I ended up on some probably seldom-ridden-by-touring-bikes type terrain a little bit, which was fun.
3 PM

Biking 8:24 intensity: (2:20 @0) + (6:04 @1) 0.91 mi (6.5 mph)
ahr:96 max:115

Milk run on the free bike, trying not to sweat.

Biking 25:25 intensity: (14:23 @0) + (11:02 @1) 1.55 mi (3.7 mph)
ahr:88 max:117 shoes: 2015 Camber

Not sweating didn't matter, adding a backpack took care of that!

Pretty successful, speed is coming up. I need to get my back brake sorted to lengthen my wheelies.

Biking 23:40 intensity: (19:30 @0) + (4:10 @1) 1.59 mi (4.0 mph)
ahr:80 max:124 shoes: 2015 Camber

To destination was about 20 minutes, as we walk across streets for now, and also someone elected to randomly stop a bit, and was skittish around corners. This should whip up his bike handling though, which is good.

One of his friends is also biking, and the dad had a Canyon full suspension and was headed out for a hot lap of the nearby Hines single track before work.
12 PM

Walking 30:00 [1] 2.0 mi (15:00 / mi)
shoes: Ghost Teal Logo

dumb errand ate up my lunch break :(
4 PM

Walking 40:51 intensity: (27:24 @0) + (13:27 @1) 1.71 mi (23:53 / mi)
ahr:86 max:119 shoes: Ghost Teal Logo

Kid in not in a good place to ride after school. I either pick him up too early, or too late, I chose the wrong sidewalks. It's more tiring in some ways than an actual ride.

ahr:139 max:163 slept:7.0 weight:235lbs shoes: Long Haul Trucker

Beautiful day for a rip up and down Hines. I thought I sensed either massive fitness gains, or a tailwind, while headed outbound....yep. Had to work a bit to get back but negative split wasn't all that terrible given the wind and mild grade.
3 PM

Walking 48:23 [1] 1.62 mi (29:52 / mi)

Well the first 15 minutes were at a reasonable pace, before it turns out that the pedal car choice was not the best, but we let him make it.
6 PM

Walking 15:00 [1] 1.0 mi (15:00 / mi)

Library and ice cream

Note
slept:7.0 weight:232.8lbs

Dug up a number of plants Saturday.

Prepped some stuff this morning.

Probably planting a bit this afternoon.

Project Vanity Sizing (alternatively, Tahoe 200 alternatively 199 or bust) is underway, although the real exercise portion will start once everyone is back in school. Trying LoseIt this time around since MyFitnessPal is deprecating features on the free tier and piling on the ads.

I survived the 3000 person purge at Ford, now to make sure if there are additional rounds I am well-placed to avoid those cuts as well. Personal record for the number of colleagues / friends who didn't make it, exceeding even 2008. Fall out likely to continue as you reach out to people for questions and get email bouncing back.
7 PM

Canoeing 32:06 [3] 1.36 mi (23:36 / mi) +4m 23:23 / mi

Harvey and SuLe shared a single blade, which apparently can be unthreaded by haphazard paddling.

I'm so used to sitting with reasonably familiar canoe folks that I forgot how many wobbles a rambunctious 40 lbs can cause. No tips.

So glad there was an open camp site at AR Basecamp.
