Hike (ski-whack) 10:00:00 [4] 8.0 mi (1:15:00 / mi)

Olympic Mtn Epic ski trip w/ Hayz:
This was mainly a hike with my skis and boots on my backpack (aka ski-whack), so it wasn't too epic. Still it was nice to get out into the mtns again. We lost the trail on the way to upper Lena and ran out of time anyway due to the slow progress, so we headed back for the car. 3500' gain and lost were the stats from Matt's watch. Unfortunately we probably only were able to ski 500' or so :( Next time I'm headed for Royal basin, where I know the trail and we should be able get some good turns in.

Ride home solo. I decided to take the scenic route today. I rode up the hill from the BG in Lk. Forest Park and eventually worked my way up to the Inter-urban trail. It's a bit shorter milage-wise, but with all the stops and slow-downs it's about the same time-wise. It was a nice climb and was good to see some new area on the way home.
