Helping first time middle school students learning to ski at Bluewood. I got a few runs in today but mostly helping the kids. It was fun to help them. PS lowest amount of snow that I've skied at Bluewood but they are getting more.

Zwift Tuesday night race. I couldn't quite hang onto the pack after the steepest climb early in the race so I ended up in the 2nd group. I didn't pull much but I ended up in front at the finish when one rider broke with about 1/2mi to go I still caught them before the line. Getting a bit better.

It doesn't look like I wrote down 2023 resolutions in my log last year but I found the comments on 2022 resolutions:

2022 New Year Goals:

1) I'd like to ride the Cross WA Bikepacking race, but I think this may need to wait until 2023. I need more time and practice with gear before jumping in on this.
2) Get some form of orienteering going here locally.
3) Continue exploration with the bike and packraft for the website
4) Get a new job


2023 was the year I started a new job so another year of a big change. The first 5 months of 2023 were tough as I was traveling to my old job during the week and back home on the weekend. All the while applying for new jobs and doing interviews. I started the new job in late May and it's been going well. It was hard to focus on anything else during that time. This year I'm in a better place to write down some resolutions.

2024 Resolutions:
1) A soft goal is to do XWA again this year. I will train for it and decide about 1 month ahead.
2) Get some Backcountry skiing in with Kid #1.
3) I have a few Bikepacking trips I'd like to do:
a) Klickitat trail
b) Lower Deschutes trail
c) Preacher ride in Blue Mtns
d) Maybe the final part of the XWA bikerafting route?
4) Still on the list to get some orienteering going.
5) I'd like to offer a free bikerafting clinic and/or bikepacking clinic.

Looks like an ambitious year but I like to write some goals down. Hopefully I can make a dent in this list.
