Trail runs are always best with a group. We went to Seaton, which I have never been to, but was great with firm frozen ground for 2/3rds. Last bit was sloppy and I was slidding a bit in my XT Wings. Holiday treats from DD11 (actually Lex!) were great.

Wolf trail run. Should have taken the snowshoes with me because although the snow on the trail was patted down...it was soft and felt like running in sand, especially on the uphills.

Trail run in Gatineau Park. There was a good enough layer of snow of the ground for a number of x-country skiers to be out. The snow layer was cold and crunchy.
