Weights/Resistance Training 1:15:00 [3]

Spent lots of time stretching, rolling, strengthening legs and core today...tried CXWorx at GoodLife - probably the most challenging class i have done there...either that or my abs are just really out of shape!

My goal is to complete that class without taking any of the lower options eventually.

Cycling 40:00 [3]

A short ride when I got home from work to see how my legs are feeling on the bike...first time on it since about 1.5weeks and feeling ok now that I am spinning at a higher cadence but up hill felt a bit of pain. Nothing I can't deal with for 8 hours and then rest for a bit. I really would love a year without pain...

Didn't go too fast this time - just wanted to get my legs moving. Was super happy that I maneuvered though a traffic blocking gate with small opening on a rocky trail connecting the two paths along the humber. It's a tight enough squeeze just to walk through there, but managed to sneak my bike through while still clipped in!

Running 38:00 [3] 6.3 km (6:02 / km)

Took a few days off to do Osteo and Massage appointments and let the work set in before starting to run/bike again. Feeling really good - knees feel good and definitely feeling limber. Was going to do 9km but knew that I'd be really tight for time so turned around when I hit the 20 minute mark.

Ran out westbound and back along Queens Quay to the lakeshore trail...nice cool morning with a slight breeze - felt great.

Weights/Resistance Training (Tabata Workout) 40:00 [3]

Did a fast paced Tabata workout (the burpies really kicked my butt). Really enjoyed the format of the workout - pushing your hardest for 20 sec with 10 sec rest for 8 reps for each "tabata". Although mostly focused on strength, the burpies got my heart rate pumping pretty good! This is definitely a keeper workout.

Couldn't do full squat tabata - knees weren't feeling up to it yet. Going to spend a ton of time this weekend stretching and rolling out my legs.

Weights/Resistance Training 1:00:00 [3]

Great workout this morning in the gym - legs/knees felt great after the rest over the past few days and increased weight again. Could have done 3 sets but was tight for time so just stuck to 2 and allowed for some stretching time. Can't wait to see my osteopath tonight...and even more - can't wait to race in two weeks, it's been sooo long since the last race!
