8k race at Maryville college. The course was narrow the entire way but in the woods it was only one person wide. I loved the course just because of the wooded area. Everyone slowed down for the roots and stuff and that's when I'd run past them through the tall grass and weeds on the side of the trail. It was easy because they weren't expecting it and would fight for the position. There was a section that ran along the side of a steep hill and everyone was complaining but it was nothing compared to some in Europe and team trials this year. Two people fell off it though... Felt pretty good during the race, it was rough for the asphalt and I could wear spikes because of that part but other than that good. Had the poem from the Grey in my head the whole way and that helped.2 1/2 minute pr. Team placed 1st and I was 39/ 80

Morning run. Easy to wake up this morning but hard to start running. Got into a rhythm after a while.

Warm up, everyone else was going really fast one the warm up so Brandon and I slowed up a bit and we missed a few of the strides because of it.

3xsteepleson on Clara bowl course.
3x 1 minute hard 1 minutes off, 2 minutes hard 1 minutes off, 30 seconds hard 1 minutes off, 3 minutes hard 1 minute off.
I didn't think it would go too well because of the warm up and it was really hot but I eased into the first set and then by the end of the first set I was going 6:15 pace for the 1 minute and up intervals. This was probably my best workout so far, I had lunch 4 hours before practice so I wouldn't have any cramps, I wasn't hungry during the run either so I think my metabolism has slowed down a little.

Decided to stay on our dirt/ grass track today instead of running on hilly trails. After about a mile and a half I started feeling really good and the last two miles were 7:30

6x800m on house of dreams trails. We ran up on the interval and back down to where we started on the rest. It was supposed to be on an 8 minute cycle but I wasnt able to go fast enough to make that and get rest at the same time so I fell behind the group.

Shins were hurting on the first two pretty bad but I had to go to the bathroom really badly so that was affecting it too. Then after the third one i pooped in the woods :) I felt a little better for the fourth one. On the fifth one my plan was to hammer it and pull something together for the 6th one. My shins were still hurting before the 6th one but told myself to suck it up and I went pretty fast, at least for uphill on a gravel trail.
